Where CQ® Began

After working with clients for the first 20 years, Barbara saw that people who were highly successful in other aspects of their careers struggled to lead change, and many organizations fail to realize the benefits from their change initiatives.

There was a glaring gap. There were many change models, and many leadership models, but no models to develop change leadership capabilities.

That’s when Barbara put her practical experience and academic research towards finding a solution. She discovered something she called Change Intelligence®, which are powerful insights that help people unleash their change leadership.

She developed an assessment that helps people uncover their Change Leadership Style, giving them critical awareness to how they can best contribute to change initiatives.

The Impact of Lasting Change

Over the last decade our Change Catalysts team has developed and delivered resources ranging from workshops to eLearning to certifications on Change Intelligence®, creating a common language of “Heart, Head and Hands” for tens of thousands of people around the globe.

Meet Our Founder – Barbara A. Trautlein, Ph.D.

Barbara Trautlein, the principal and founder of Change Catalysts, is the author of the best-selling book Change Intelligence: Use the Power of CQ to Lead Change that Sticks and the creator of the CQ® System for Developing Change Intelligence®.
